NDONIYAMANZI

“Feisty, I like that. Don’t worry about me I won’t stay long, it’s just for one night” he says.

“I don’t think I want to stay with an escapee, I can’t stand the sight of you for one minute how long is a night?” I ask with an annoyed face. Trust me, if I was muscular I would carry him and throw him outside. “Don’t be like that, I hate the sight of you too lady but I need a place to sleep for now” he says.

The heck! More reason to kick him out, he is so damn rude, if he thinks I am going to be his pushover then he is wrong. I’m going to pull up a good fight “Listen here you burnt wood don’t talk to me like that you hear me?” I say not trying to raise my voice.

“Fine. Can you let me crash for a night? You won’t die” he says. “You really can’t beg can you? But it’s okay, you can stay but you will sleep on the couch and when the sun rises you take your flat behind and leave my house, I hope we understand each other” I say firmly.

BUCHULE

“Yes I understand you” I say. This girl is so damn rude, can’t believe I thought that she is a quiet, timid lady but phew! She’s quite a case, she goes to the kitchen. I stare at her she’s hot, dark skinned, curves in the right places. If she wasn’t such a case I would smash her.

Don’t tell me I am falling for her already, she comes back from the kitchen with a plate of buttered bread “I didn’t cook, made you some bread. Eat or not I don’t really care. Goodnight” she says as she gives me the plate but I hold her hand.

“Wait, what’s your name?” I ask.

“What are you going to do with it? And please let go of my hand” she says.

“I just want to know the name of the lady who is kind enough to let a prisoner like me stay in her house” I say smiling. “I’m Ndoniyamanzi now can you let go now?” she asks. I let go of her hand and look at her eyes, she’s so beautiful and her name suits her just fine “Nice name, it suits you. I’m Buchule” I say.

“Thanks and nice to meet you Buchule, goodnight” she says as she leaves my sight. I can’t stop looking at her, Buchule get a grip. I take off my dirty shoes and curl myself in the couch.
