In this heat of January Thingo is dripping in her own sweat. She’s wearing baggy clothes with her hair down as if she’s hiding away from people.
She looks up and there on a safe distance she sees him, is he handsome? The question is engraved on her mind,, he is still far so she oggles him for a few seconds without feeling guilty, he’s handsome that’s the first thing she notices when he is near her, oh he’s really handsome. Her breath catches on her throat when he stops her as she was about to walk inside the yard cause she’s a coward like that, her heart races as if its on her throat threatening to leap out.
Her cheeks flush, asking herself if he saw her looking at him.

“Would you like to buy?” Now as she takes a good, she notice the bags of tissues hanging on his shoulders.

Without even thinking she blurts out “Yes.” she points at her house. “I stay here and I have no money on me do you mind coming inside?”

The guy shakes his head and follows her behind, she quickly gets inside the house and fetches the money as she walks out he’s still there looking handsome without even trying. “How much?” She asks trying to avoid looking at his eyes.

“R15.”

She hands him R30 “I’ll take two.” And there she knew she had to see him again. “Can you deliver here every Wednesday?” The guy nods and waves a goodbye, as she closed the door she smiled to herself, finally her heart had skipped a beat after spending her time thinking that she could never fall in love again.
