Melokuhle

It was a long Friday and very hot one at that too, I was glad that I was done for the day. The classes took too long to finish that I even doubted they’ll ever come to an end.

I was so ready to kick off my shoes and pour myself one glass of red wine and relax after all it was a Friday.

A bell hooted at me I looked behind, I was surprised no car ever stopped for a girl like me.

“Hi.” The driver said and he was handsome, so handsome that I was surprised he would even wanna stop and talk to a girl like me.

“I’m lost.” He said in his deep yet seductive voice.

I knew better than to talk to strangers let alone walk near to their car. My dad would have been really disappointed in me if he saw me right now.

But I could not stop my feet from walking towards the car.

It was rare to find a guy like him talking to me, I am not a thick girl like the other girls and I wished I was even though my mother tells me everyday how beautiful I am.

“Where are you going?” I asked as I stepped closer to the open window.

Everything happened so fast, before I knew it a cloth was on my face and I sunk into unconsciousness the last thing I saw, was him tying my hands.

*

As soon as I opened my eyes, I was hit by a splitting headache. I looked up, surprised to see myself in a dark room.

“You finally woke up.” It was the guy from the car, confused I looked at where I was my eyes failed to adjust but one thing I knew was that I was in a bed room, he stood up and went to open the curtains just a little bit to let in a bit of sunshine rays in and my suspicions were confirmed, I was in a some bedroom.

“Melokuhle right?”

I nodded as I wriggled my hands from my behind trying to get free from the rope.

“I’m Melusi,” he said as he took as he sat down at the only available chair and looked at me “I’m sorry to do this to you.” He continued “But your father owes me a whole lot of money.”

My heart was racing and head was filled with a lot of questions, my father owed him money? How? My father owned many businesses it didn’t make sense that he was owing someone money.

I shook my head in disbelief. Melusi opened his beer and took a huge gulp and looked at me “Your father owes me a whooping 10 Million rands.”

“Liar.”

Melusi laughed and stood up from his chair and came to stand besides the bed.

“My father will get me out of her.” I said almost screaming. A hot clap landed on my face “Shut up bitch.” He looked at me with a little bit of disgust before he walked out.

Hot tears ran down my face not understanding how my boring Friday afternoon turned into such a nightmare.
