Melokuhle

I hung my bag over my shoulder, I wanted nothing but to stay inside and hide forever but then I have to go on with my life. I have put off going to school for a while now and now I have no choice but to go. As I round the corner I cuss at myself for not taking an uber or even taking my car, all because I wanted to time think, time to breath some fresh air before I can find myself around people.

The screeching of the sound of tyres pulls me out of my head, before I know it there is a gag on my mouth the smell so strong making me unconscious.

****

When I woke up I find myself in a dark, yet familiar room with my hands bound behind my back “Help!!” I shouted at the top of my lungs with my heart racing as I thought that to myself not again. It can’t be that Zandile had kidnapped me again or can it be?

I thought that Melusi had taken care of Zandile, I wiggle my hands trying to loosen the rope but it is so tight that I can’t even wiggle them.

“Help!” I shout yet again and again but no one comes in to even check up on me, there is not even a sound nothing.

“You as, let me go!”

This time I hear the jiggle of the key and the door opens, my heart stops for a second and starts races so fast I might as well would have drilled a hole on my chest just before I can even see who it is, the smell of a cologne invades my nostrils, this smell it is one I can never forget and one I have grown to know so well.

The door push open the first thing that I see is a shadow before I can even see the person and when the person shows my heart stops for a second a two not knowing whether to be relieved or mad.

“Melusi.”

He looks different, he looks so grown in just two months of not seeing him, he has overgrown hair and mustache but he still looks handsome in his cream suit, with his hands stuffed in his pockets making my stupid heart to weaken at the sight of him.

“Melokuhle.” He said so calmly as if I am not currently kidnapped, with my hands held together by a thick rope behind my back.

The sound of my name coming out of his lips just sounds right, even though some might like to be called by pet names Melusi always had a way of saying my name and making my knees go weak and my lips dry in an instant and he has the audacity to give me that smile of his that makes my heart flutter and my stomach to have unruled butterflies.

Damn the stupid heart and that smile of his.
