Melusi
I stared at Zandile, trying desperately to make sense of what she had just revealed to me.
My mind is moving too fast, and my heart feels like it has been torn apart. Steven, Melokuhle’s father, is the one who orchestrated this whole thing.
It is hard to believe, but I can see the sincerity in Zandile’s eyes, and I know that she won’t lie about something like this.
“Are you sure about this?” I asked, my voice trembling with a mix of shock and disbelief.
Zandile stopped pacing and nodded, tears spilling from her eyes as she looked at me. “I won’t lie about this, Melusi. Steven set everything up.”
I stood up, trying to steady my emotions, and took a deep breath. “So you being at that resort wasn’t just a coincidence?”
Zandile shook her head, her tears falling freely now. “No, it wasn’t. But after spending time with you, Melusi, I realised how much I missed you. I meant it when I said I miss you.”
I couldn’t fathom the complexity of the situation. Zandile is my past, and Melokuhle is my present and my future. I love Melokuhle with all my heart, I have to make things right with her. I have to fight for her.
“Screw that, Zandile,” I said, my voice laced with anger and frustration. “I love Melokuhle.”
“You didn’t think about her when you were sleeping with me,” Zandile retorted, a bitter tone in her voice.
Her words hit me like a punch to the gut, and without thinking, I spun around and pinned her against the wall, my hand on her throat. Instead of being scared, she smiled, bringing up memories of us together.
“I think I remember you doing this exact same thing to me when we were at the resort the only difference is that you were ripping my clothes apart,” she taunted.
I let her go, my anger dissipating as I took a step back, my hands trembling. “I can’t do this,” I whispered, feeling overwhelmed by the emotions swirling within me.
“Forget about her, Melusi,” Zandile said, placing her hand on my shoulder, trying to sway me.
But I shook my head. “I love her,” I said firmly, my resolve strengthening with every word.
“What’s so special about her?” Zandile challenged, folding her arms.
“Everything,” I replied without hesitation. “She’s everything to me.”
With that, I turned and walked out, determined to find Melokuhle and fight for our love.
Even if I have to beg, I will do so, because I can’t bear the thought of losing her. My heart ached at the possibility of losing the woman I love, and I know that I have to make things right. I have to prove my love and commitment to her, and I won’t stop until she knows how much she means to me.
