Melusi

I still could not believe that Steve called me here, I walked downstairs and found him sitting on the couch drinking his beer.

“I am only doing this for Melokuhle if it weren’t for that..”He said shaking his head.

“We do not have to like each other as long as we have a mutual understanding that’s all the matters, you have my word I will treat her like a princess.”

He nodded.

1 Hour later

It was amazing how the garden had changed in just an hour, the place was beautiful decorated and I was standing here shaking with anxiety.

I could not wait any longer, I wanted to see her walk down the aisle towards me.

“Are you nervous?” The pastor asked with a knowing smile. There was no need to be nervous there weren’t guest here except for Lizzy, I nodded “I am.”

“Cold feet?”

“Never.” I said, I had no doubt in mind that Melokuhle was mine, she was made for me, I never believed in soul mates but I could say for sure that Melokuhle is my soul mate.

And I saw her, my breath caught on my throat, damn she was beautiful.

Her eyes never leaving mine, my knees buckled a little bit, I was not sure if it was the nerves or her beauty.

In both her arms were her parents, they both kissed her on the cheeks as they handed her over to me.

“I thought you said you wouldn’t cry.” She said in a whisper.

“Your beauty blindsided me.”
