I couldn’t believe that Siza had done that for me, it warmed my heart a little when I woke up in the morning. My mother was long gone, I went to look outside the window and saw that guy still stationed outside.

I made myself some breakfast and also included him. I knocked at the window, he slid down the window and looked at me with worried eyes “Did something happen?”

I shook my head “I brought you some breakfast.” I said showing a tray that I was carrying. “I figured you must be hungry.” I passed him the plate that had a simple bread with polony and cheese and handed him a cup of tea with sugar for him to put for himself.

“Thank you.”

When I went back inside I was ready to go to my room and sleep away the reminders of my memories but a knock came on the opened door that I was about to close, it was Siza standing there with half of a smile displayed on his face “We going boxing.”

“I want to sleep.”

” I know that your mind is busy after what happened and you are going to sleep with those thoughts swarming on your mind, now go put on something comfortable. I’ll wait.” I wanted to protest but he was right, the thoughts in my mind were loud. I changed out of my pyjamas and put on sweatpants and a different t-shirt of Minnie Mouse.

The only sound that was in the car was the humming of the car. Siza pulled in the warehouse, it was the one place I was desperate to leave once upon a time and now I was back here again.

“I’ll take you back home later.” He said as if he had read my mind. He led me into a different room, one that I had never stepped foot in. There was a punching bag in the middle of the room and a fridge in the corner.

“I spend most of my time here.” He went across the 6 room and handed me purple boxing gloves, they were small, a fit for me. “Take out all your anger on that bag.” He went to the other side of the punching bag and held it while waiting for me to put the gloves on.

With the gloves on, I took a deep breath and looked at Siza who was nodding to me, to go ahead. The first punch came out weak, same as the second one,” You can do better than that.” Siza said.

When the picture of that man came into my view I pictured the punching bag being him. This time my punches came out anything but weak. “That’s it.” Siza encouraged me. I even kicked it too, all the pent up anger that was building inside of me I took out on this big black punching bag that Siza was holding tight so that it wouldn’t move.

When I was done, I was already heaving and breathing too hard, trying to catch my breath, Siza passed me a bottle of cold water and a towel.

“Did that help?” He asked after I drank the water and my breathing had calmed down. I nodded while sitting down on the floor. “Yeah, thank you.”

He smiled sat down next to me, and opened his bottle of water. We were quiet, I could hear the beating of my heart when I closed my eyes.

This was exactly what I needed, I liked how Siza just knew what I needed before I could even think it, it also showed how much of a nice guy he was. Even when he pretended not to be.
