Sindie

The first night in this new place was different, but that was to be expected. But we were finally in a home that belonged to us, not Ndumiso just us.

I curled myself closer to Shawn snuggling closer towards his body heat. “The baby said we must cuddle.”

Shawn looked at me through his long eyelashes and smiled “Oh yeah? I think the baby wants us to do something else entirely.” He said bringing me closer to him in a more seductive way.

The door opened with Naledi come running inside the room with her little feet.

“Dada up-up.” She said with her hands up in the air. Shawn looked at me and smiled and quickly picked up Naledi, and moved her up in the air like she was an aeroplane making a whooshing sounds. Causing Naledi to have a fitful of giggles.

He placed her back on the bed and tickled her.

I smiled, not able to help myself. This right here was the moment I wanted to keep forever.

He made it look so easy being a father making me imagine how wonderful he would be with his very own child.

“Must the tickle monster, tickle mommy?”

Naledi nodded not being able to say a word as she continued to laugh-cry.

“No. No.” But he soon found my sensitive spot and tickled me making me laugh so hard that I cry.
