Sindie
The helicopter came in Tembisa sooner than I thought. My feet landed in Tembisa and all the deja vu hit me.
I was actually back home to where it always started. To the start of my own misery. Having to bear witness to my mother selling me to Ndumiso for just a couple of beer.
Shwan wrapped his arms from my back and kissed my neck “You okay?” I turned slightly around and offered him a tiny nod.
I watched as Naledi run to the open car, already waiting for us to get in.
“It just feels weird to be back here again you know.” I commented as we got inside.
With Shwan taking extra precautions he wanted no one to drive us but him.

After a long drive with Shawn taking twisting turns, I was glad to have finally arrived. “This is it.”
He said while we got out of the car. The house was a far cry from Ndumiso’s masion but it was ten times better than the house I grew up in.
The grass was nicely cut, the garden had all kinds of floweres. It also had a nice wall that had a mordern touch with lights just outside the wall.
I opened the door to the kitchen and it was beautiful, not huge but it was a home, ky home.
“What do you think Nale?”
Naledi ran excitedly among the 6 room house. I turned to Shawn and nodded “This is beautiful. A little home for our growing family.”
Shawn took me in his arms and kissed me “I love it too, hopefully this is where we going to live for a very long time.”
It sounded like he wanted to comfort himself than me, I turned the corner into a hallway where I went into the master bedroom. A huge bed took most of the space, the bedroom looked more like those beautiful rooms decorated in magazines.
I was ready to make it our home, regardless that we were on a run.
