Sindie
The sand was warm under my feet, It was peaceful out here. I had no worries about Ndumiso catching us everything was just amazing but as each day came and went I grew anxious and tired of this place.
I missed a lot of things, things that weren’t in this island.
I rubbed my stomach, this is not the life I want my baby to be raised in. We had to get out of here soon.
There at the distance was the mansion we were staying. It was jaw dropping but after a while you just get tired of everything.
Shawn waved his hands frantically as if yearning for me to hurry up.
I half ran and half walked towards him “What the hell was that for?” I asked taking a deep breath as I yielded my heart to stop beating do darn fast.
“We are going right now.” He said shouting “My inside man told me that Ndumiso already knows that we are here.”
Everything was happening so fast that I could not even grasp what was happening.
“Naledi.” It was all I could think about at this second.
Nandi the cook came running to hand me Naledi. I mouthed a thank you as I hurried to the helicopter that was already ready to go. My eyes quickly landef on our little bags.
From the things that we bought when we arrived.
Shawn came running, I really saw him scared but now he sure was. I could practically hear his heart beating fast.
“Where we going?”
“Tembisa, everything is set. I had arranged everything earlier so on that front we good.”
The helicopter took off soon after. I looked down only to see the people I have grown close to over the past few months. I waved them goodbye not even surr if the can see me at this distance.
I took a deep breath, glad that I am now out of that island, it was starting to suffocate me.
