I paced the floor, going from one point to another, it has been 3 months since me and Sindie had gotten married although our life was perfect out here, waking up just to sit at the beach and let the sun soak you it was nice at first it felt like a dream vacation for Sindie but now I can see that she’s getting fed up with this place.
I sit down on the leather chair and close my eyes for a second, the booming voice on the other side of the phone make my eyes snap open “Did you find something?”
It was time we got out of here, it was a matter of time before Ndumiso thought of this place and it was so clever of me to think of something that was not to far away that Ndumiso might think of.
To think that he will be so furious knowing that we were just under his nose all along.
“Yes I think I might have but it is a far cry from the lavish life you are in right now.”
“Anything Zach, I have to get out of here.”
I could now here Zach typing before he spoke “Tembisa.” He said leaving the comment hanging in the air before he continued “He will have no reason to look for you there, it is not a suburb place plus you’ll fit right in.”
He was right, I needed a place where I’ll keep my head low but a Township yeah that was something else entirely.
“Set everything up and let me know once everything is set.”
As soon as I hung up the phone, Sindie walked in looking as beautiful as ever. I still find her as beautiful as the moment I first saw her.
She rubbed the sleep away from her eyes as she took a sit opposite from me, when one looked at her they could barely see her growing stomach but I did, right there a life was growing. A life that we made.
“Was that Zach?”
I nodded placing the phone on the table “He suggests Tembisa.”
“Tembisa, you say.”
Right, that’s where she came from. That’s where her demons resided. “We can change if you like.”she shook her head no “I just never thought I’ll be back in Tembisa anytime soon you know.”
