Her being a newcomer at the cell, she was maltreated for two months then after that she stood up for herself. She became reasonable and started taking Bible studies and applied for admission at UNISA (University of South Africa).
Her mother came visiting time and time again. A few weeks after applying she got accepted and was so excited. Her mother came and she told her that she was accepted and going to study next year. They were all happy.
The bible classes went well and she realised that no matter poor or rich you should be happy, for as long as there’s life there’s hope. She prayed and fasted for her mother to get a job. It takes time but when you believe and have faith surely one day your prayers will be answered. She was a very good prisoner that she got out on parole.
A month after her release her mother got a job. From her experience she decided to create a program that helps matriculants have a plan B, C and D in case their plan A ( going to higher education or getting a job) doesn’t happen quite as planned. The program creates employment for them by helping them become tutors for those who are still in school around the community.
