Tsholofelo is a good, beautiful and loving person. Her personality was admired throughout her neighbourhood as she portrait the ‘perfect human’. Her kindness was on another level as she put people’s needs above her own. She sheltered the homeless, fed the starving and provided water for the thirsty without complaining about anything including the cost of everything that she kindly provided. She was so kind to the extent that people took advantage of her.
Many men wanted to wed her and many mothers wished and prayed for a daughter like her. She’s an orphan who was raised by her aunt in her grandmother’s house. And as predicted her childhood was the worst as she was maltreated and abused by her aunt. Irregardless of her aunt’s behaviour towards her Tsholofelo loved her aunt dearly that when her aunt was on sick bed she was the one who cared for her even when her biological children wanted nothing to do with her. Unfortunately the aunt died and that’s when Tsholofelo found peace as everyone thought.
People have approached her numerous times in an attempt to tame her and get married to her, but none succeeded. Tsholofelo had already given her heart to someone else. Someone who took away her virginity, impregnated her and left her all alone at his house.Tsholofelo went all out to show love to that person but he couldn’t appreciate it. Keabetswe hurt Tsholofelo so much that a normal person wouldn’t have forgiven him but with Tsholofelo’s nature Keabetswe was forgiven and he was still loved dearly by Tsholofelo.
Tsholofelo was convinced to terminate the pregnancy as the father showed no interest but she didn’t. Unfortunately the baby was a still born. On her way back home just like any mother who has lost her child she was in tears. A part of her wanted so hard to blame and hate Keabetswe but her love for him was greater. She arrived at home and as always there were always people at her house. They cared for her as she always did for them. Few months passed and the pain eased.
Now it was time for her to live her life just as she always wanted. She always questioned where on earth did Keabetswe run to. She still cared for him even after all this time. It was around mid day when Tsholofelo was busy hanging clothes on the washing line when a familiar figure stood just a distance from her outside her yard. Yes it was him. The man who hurt her the most, the man who broke her heart and broke her trust. Tsholofelo stood still for a few minutes thinking that she was hallucination again.
This time it was happening he was really there. She didn’t say anything to him as she stared right in his eyes. There were so many things she planned to say to him the day he chose to return. It was as if she instantly turned mute as no words were able to escape her mouth. Keabetswe was still standing there with bags and he said nothing. They continued this for over 30 minutes until Keabetswe decided to break the silence. All he said was “hi, I missed you so much”
