I enter the school and I smell a faint smell of a human, meaning that the human was here but left earlier. My inner vampire kept stirring, wanting to come out and I have no idea why. My mind travels back to the faint smell of a human, what the hell would a human do on a vampire territory?, unless they have a death wish.

As I walked past a couple of people and greeted a few, I hear whispers of people talking about a human. Okay then there has to be a human around here somewhere.

“Morning your highness, I hope that you’re doing well this morning, I need to inform you about a human that I think has just joined our school,” one of my closest friends mind linked me.

He really has to stop with the whole ‘your highness’ thing, it is actually starting to get annoying. My mind however travels back to the human that joined our school.

That’s when things started coming to mind. My parents mentioned that their friends have a daughter that is finishing her final year here. They never said that she’s human.

“Sure Xavier, I’ll do that” Jeffrey ends the mind link chuckling softly.

so I got my schedule and it goes something like this:

Surprisingly, I only have five classes. What type of school is this?

This whole school seems weird to me, and why did I have to start with chemistry first? , I hate this day already.

I must admit, chemistry hasn’t always been my favorite, but maths, you could give me maths anytime.

Every class I entered people stared at me like I was some piece of meat that they would love to taste. I thought I heard someone growl. Damn this is really weird now, first sniffing, then growling, then snarling, then hissing. Are there animals here?

If there is, then I’m definitely leaving this place.

Halfway through chemistry, and I wasn’t even paying any attention. I just wanted this day to be over, like right now. The students couldn’t even keep their eyes off me, the professor had to hiss at them to get their attention. I swear I just caught his eye change colour. It looked like it turned red, then it turned grey blue again. Okay I was really starting to freak out.

I went and sat underneath a nice tree, since I did not want to mingle between weird people. They were weird for the rest of the day as well.

I kind of enjoyed my company, you know, being by yourself. I didn’t even try to make new friends, why should I?

Besides everyone is weird, like I’ve said the word weird multiple times today already. GOD HELP ME!

Since I packed in my own lunch, I didn’t bother collecting food from the cafeteria. I was so interested in my food that I didn’t notice someone standing in front of me.
