Mendeline POV
My name is Madeline and this is my story.
I dont go outside and I haven’t gone out of my house in 17 years if I went outside I’d die. Radiators sterilise my clothes, I own a hundred white T-shirts It’s my standard uniform. The air lock is a sealed room surrounding the front door its air tipe nothing can leak into the house when the door is open. It’s not that I don’t want to go outside I cant simple viruses can kill me its like I’m allergic to everything what I eat, what I touche they all have consequences.
I have Severe Combined Immunodeficiency my immune system sucks. My mom made me join a support group, I exercise I read a lot of books. Every day feels exactly the same,Maybe today is different. I saw a very cute boy from my window and he waved a hi and I did that too. My mom is a doctor and she is figured out what was wrong with me. There’s a short list of people that know I’m alive my mom, my nurse Cullar and her daughter Rosa.
I can see Ollie from my bedroom window and he can see me from his bedroom window because we are neighbors and his house is next to mine. At night I don’t know what he was doing with buns. The next day he wrote his cellphone number on the window so we can text.
Madeline: my name is Madeline wats yours
Olly: Olly
I tell myself I won’t text back immediately when Olly texts and then I text back immediately.
Olly: why are you on house arrest
Madeline: why do you think I’m on house arrest
Olly: because I haven’t seen you once outside since we got here.
Madeline: Im not on house arrest but I can’t live the house either.

Olly: Id be conflicted
Madeline:about what
