David looked at Emily in shock because he never expected this move from her, he calmed down a little later because he felt majority of the shareholders were still on his side. Few minutes later, he knew what it meant to be face-slapped. Majority of the shareholders voted in favour of his impeachment.

Before he could protest, the police interrupted the meeting with an arrest warrant for David on the charges of murder. David glared hatefully at Emily while she returned it with a smile and mouthed to him “Have a nice time in jail, my good dad.”

After David was taken away by the police, Emily proposed another agenda to select a new chairman of the company. The shareholders voted in favour of her as the new chairman which was obviously what she wanted. Those shareholders weren’t stupid, they knew that Emily was the highest shareholder in the company and they also suspect she had something to do with David’s arrest.

Instead of opposing her and experiencing her ruthlessness, they would rather get in her good books. She might be young but her ways were cunning and ruthless.

Alexa survived the accident but lost her two legs. David was arrested and Rita went completely crazy. Everything she had worked hard for went down the drain within a day. She couldn’t believe she lost in the hands of a little girl. She was responsible for giving the idea of creating the accident that killed Becca, Emily’s mother.

She did all this to get into David’s home and waited for the day everything will go to the hands of Alexa. At the end, she was defeated in the hands of that woman’s daughter.

Alexa was crippled and had to sit on a wheelchair, David was sentenced to jail while Rita went crazy. Emily was aware of all this but she never felt satisfied. Although she exacted her revenge on those three, that could not possibly bring back her dead mother.

Emily felt vulnerable and tired. She had been planning for her revenge since she discovered the truth at the age of 15 and five years has passed already.

She felt tired and lost like she has forgotten who she really was. Her desire for revenge made her abandon herself, and have forgotten what it felt like to be Emily.

So seeing Alexa again after three years made her blood boil once again. Alexa felt goosebumps under Emily’s cold gaze and wanted to run but she couldn’t. She knew that if she does not achieve what she wants today, she might as well die.
