Thandiwe

The classes have began and it was packed full all eager to learn. “Morning class.” to my surprise it was Mr Sibanda, he looked at me straight, shocked to see me here but he quickly recovered and continued with the lesson.

As the class ended I waited for everyone to leave since I didn’t want to be pushed and it was not like I was hurrying to another class.

“Thandiwe.” Mr Sibanda called out, I walked towards him as I put my textbook inside my bag. “Will you help me carry some of this books?” I nodded as I helped him with his books.

“How do you find the University life so far?” He asked as soon as we walked out of class “So far it is hard, it has a lot of work.”

He smiled like he understood what I was talking about “Soon you will get used to all of this, if you ever need help I’m here, my door is always open.”

I nodded grateful for the help he was willing to give “I think I might take you up on that offer.” My mind was all over the place a little help would never hurt anyone.

“My office is here.” He opened the door allowing me to take the lead, he didn’t close the door, making me to feel comfortable and I appreciated the gesture.

I looked at Mr Sibanda clearly now away from the night sky of the other nice. He was handsome, he was older but he still looked for his age. If I were to guess I would put him there around 40 years or maybe it were the gym that was keeping me young and fresh.

He was not dressed too formally like the other lecturers, he was in a simple but elegant way.

I placed the books on top of the table. “Thank you Thandiwe.”

I waved my hand like it was nothing “It’s ok.” He offered me smile as I walked out of his office.
