Dikeledi
The trip this time was short and I could not complain. I was back in my home land under the African sun.
I took a deep breath, the air was fresher this side. I walked into the open field of land and smile this was my land.
I wanted to scream to and shout to the whole world to hear that I was a happy woman and free from drugs.
The bricks were already delivered, they were so many that they up half of the land.
“It has a beautiful view.” The head of contractor said as he looked at the horizon. I nod, the sky wad dancing with all the beautiful hues of orange, violet, red and pink that had been casted by the sun as it lowered.
“When do we start?” That was the question that made me smile “As soon as yesterday, by Tomorrow I want you guys working here. And I am really hoping that in 3 months time the flats will be ready.”
The contractor nodded eagerly as if he was ready to get started “I don’t see why not, all the material is here me and my boys will be here early in the morning, and don’t worry me and my boys will done here in just 2 months.”
I tapped his shoulder “You see Walter that’s what I want to here.”
I walked under the red soil almost not believing that this was me and all of this belonged to me.
