Thandiwe
Morning came so quickly with Sello back at his usual form. The mood had now changed, Sello had now become so cold towards me.
He fixed his tie as he looked at me through the window “You can no longer leave.” He said as he turned to face me.
“Getting out of here will be your death, you will be mine forever.”
I hugged my legs and shook my head “No.” No has been the only word that I had managed to say all morning.
Everything had gone from bad to worse. Tears streamed down my face as I looked at him, there were no longer traces of that sweet guy I had met fallen in love with, looking at him it was like I was looking at a stranger.
He walked closer, I looked at him straight in the eyes and for a split seconds I could see the snakes eyes showing themselves.
“Tell me now, what do you wanna do?”
“I’m leaving.” It was the only thing I was sure about, I was going to take my child away from this monster and go.
“Okay.” He said as he walked out, once I was sure that he had left I hurried over Thandi’s room “Get dressed we leaving.”
She looked at me confused as she sat up from the bed but without any questions she got up and changed into her clothes.
I picked her up as I took the stairs two at the time.
Once I was out of the gate I finally took a deep breath when I looked back at the house I could see the person I had seen the other night looking at me not moving.
I got inside the first taxi that I saw and breathed a sigh of relief once it took off.
Before I could sit back and relax the tyres screeched, before I could get conscious I could hear people scream as the taxi collided into another car, it was at that moment when everything went dark. My last thought was my baby girl Thandi.
