Sindie

I looked at Ndumiso now defeated, down on his knee giving me a sorry look. I was ready to pull the trigger when I heard a voice, a voice I never thought I’ll hear again in my entire life. I looked up only to see Shawn looking so handsome, with a fresh stubble on his face but still he looked so dashing in one of his suits reminding me of the time we had just met.

It now felt like my legs were made with jelly, I was about to fall when he quickly came and hold me in his arm.

“Am I dreaming?” I asked touching his face. He shook his head “I’m real.” I didn’t know whether to be angry or happy that he was alive, before I could figure it out he placed me on a chair and took the gun from my hand and turned to look at Shawn who was just as shocked as I was.

“This ends here.” Shawn said as he pointed the gun at Ndumiso without another word he pulled the trigger.

I heard people screaming some even running away but I just sat there looking at Ndumiso now slumped on the ground with a bullet hole on his head.

It all felt so unreal, He was dead after all this time of living in fear; he was now dead.

It was all over.
