Tears were streaming down my cheeks, seeing the man that I love being surrounded by machines was truly heartbreaking.

I have been by his side since last night and never have I left his side not even once. I want to be by his side when he woke up, I want to be the first person that he gets to see.

At this point I didn’t care about Ndumiso and whether wherever he is is dead or not, tge only person who has been on my mind has been my husband.

The thought of seeing Shawn the way he was just the other day, laying at the pool of his blood made me to almost lose my mind.

He has definitely kept his promise of taking a bullet for Naledi and I.

I took the now cold coffee from the table and to took a sip, the machines started to beep loudly like an alarm that has been ignored for a while. I threw away the blanket that was keeping me warm and threw the coffee in the dustbin and went to shout for a doctor.

What I will be without Shawn? My knees gave out as I cried hysterically.
