Thandiwe

I ran to the beach and laughed as Sello splashed me with water. I wiped my face and looked at Sello as he held me from my back

The past few days have been one of the best days of my life, we arrived at the guest house and I could not believe my eyes at how beautifully decorated it was. The place had dozens of red roses and balloons hanging from the ceiling.

I wrapped my arms around Sello’s kneck and and stood on my toes and kissed him “I love you.” I said in a whisper.

Sello looked at me not blinking not even moving as if I was shocked to even say such “Are you serious?” He asked as he picked me up and spun me around “Please say it again, I think i’m dreaming.”

“I love you. I love you and I love you.”

He lifted up my chin “You have made me the happiest man in the world.” He said as he kissed me and held me tight in his arms as if he is afraid that I might disappear.

I twirled around and let myself drown in my own laughter, with him by my side I felt alive and free.
