Thandiwe

“Drop me here.” I said to Sello. He looked at me and nodded it was 2 street before mine abd I hated being gossiped about.
“I had fun.” Sello said as he looked at me with those lazy eyes and smiled “I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun.”
It was indeed true I also had never had such fun before. Sbonga had grown to be a father and a husband the good old fashion husband.
I wanted fun, fun that he never gives me. “Me too.” I said as I reached for the handle.
“Can I pick you up tomorrow.”
I smiled “Yes, right here at 7 a.m sharp.”
“Yes ma’am.” He said with a salutation. I shaked my head at his silliness as I walked out of the car and headed home.
But today there was a difference my step today has a little bounce to it and my face had a smile and my heart, oh God my heart was happily dancing.
I opened the door and found Sbonga already dishing up for Thandi who was busy colouring a mermaid, he looked up and turned back to the plates.
I walked in and went straight to the bedroom and took out my uniform.
He walked in as I put on pyjamas “You are late.”
“Yeah I know, I meant to call you but my phone was off. Uhm at the hospital they needed extra nurse to help out.”
He smiled “I figured you must have been busy that’s why I decided to cook.”
I walked up to him and kissed him “You are the best.” I said we went to eat.
As I ate my mind was racing wondering when had I lost the feelings? When I kissed him I felt nothing.
“How was your day?” I asked but my mind was back at the spa with Sello and how he looked at me. As Sbonga went on and on the more my mind drifted off.
No I do not really care about how his day was, all I care and look forward to see tomorrow is Sello, who has been running through my mind in every second of the day.
