I look at the house in front of me, it is not the mansion I was living in before but it is sure better than the small jail cell I was at.

As I walk inside, I see most of the guys that used to work for me all here to welcome me back home.

“The other guys chose to go away right after you were arrested,” Marco said as he led me in to the lounge where he handed me my all time favourite whiskey “But as you can see most chose to stay behind and continue doing the business as usual.”

I take glass from Marco bring it up “I thank you all for choosing to remain loyal to me, you all here are my family cheers.”

They all raised their glasses with, wuth unison they all said cheers.

“Now, back to serious matters. Have you found out where Shawn is hiding?”

“Yes.” One guy at the back said as he stepped forward “It waa not hard finding him, he stays at tge very same place you visited him.”

“Good, and Naledi?” The sound of her name brought joy to me, wanting to embrace her and talk to her. Each day when I was in jail every year on her birthday I would always send her birthday gifts but each time they returned, sealed and that was going to change from now on.

I’ll make sure that my baby girl knows me and knows about me even if that’s the last thing I’ll have to do.

Marco handed me a picture “This is her.” I looked at the picture and damn she was all grown up, she no longer looked like that little girl anymore. “Can you believe that she’s 7 years already?” I said more to myself than anyone else “She’s about to turn 8, that’s a very long time to not be in her life.”

I stood up went to the window, the other thing that annoyed me just as much was the lack of view in this God damn awful place there was nothing but huge walls as if we were in prison.

“We will go to war boys, but not yet. The police will be keeping an eye on me. But soom, very soon we will attack.” I said as I poured the whiskey down my throat.

Soon my baby girl will be back near me and I’ll God damn make sure of that.
