Thandiwe

I fixed Thandi’s uniform, she looked so cute in her little uniform.

A lot has changed in the past few years, I managed to go to college with the help of Sbonga. He put me through college yo study nursing with his money.

He encouraged me not to do an abortion and promised to take care of us.

He even left his mine job because it was far and managed to get a job as a contractor, we don’t have much but at least we have a two room house and up to this day he still looks at me like the first day he saw me.

“You’ll take her to school?”

Sbonga looked up as he took a bite from his slightly burnt toast “Yeah if course.” I walked over to him and kissed him “I’ll see you later.” I said to Thandi as I walked out the door.

I held on tightly to my jacket, August weather was like that, it changed in just a matter of seconds.

At least the clinic was not that far and I will be able to drink my tea.

A car stopped besides me “Need a ride?”

I looked over at the person that was talking and shook my head “I’m not going that far.”

“Where you going?”

“The clinic.”

“I’m going that way too, come on in.”

I looked at the street at the direction of my house and up on the other side making sure that no one is out before I got inside the car.

“I’m Sello.” He said as he started the car. “Thandiwe.”

“Sorry if I’m being forward, but I really think you are beautiful.”

“Thank you.” I said with a smile. “This is my stop.” I said as the clinic’s gate came into view.

“Can I at least have your numbers.”

“No, I have a partner but thank you for the ride.” I said as I got out of the car and walked inside the gates without even turning around to see if he was looking at me.
