Thandiwe
Everything feels like a dream, it was like someone could just pinch me and I would wake up.
The plane landed at Cape Town “I booked us a guest house ” Sello said as we got inside the cab. Never have I ever been inside the car and now I was about to.
“Have you called back home?”
That has been one thing I dreaded the most. I held a litt prayer before pressing call, the phone only rang one before it was answered “Hey my love.”
Just the sound of his voice no longer filled me with the warmth like it used to. “Hi, I wanted to tell you that this weekend some of us have been placed at Bara hospital to help out. I’ll see you on Sunday, please tell Thandi I love her.”
“No problem, I lov…”
I cut the line before he could even continue abd looked at Sello “All done.”
He smiled “That’s my girl.” He said as he brushed her away from my face. I sat back now able to relax I was now convinced that Sello is indeed in love with me and I could not even wait to give my all to him and tell him there and then that I love him.
I’ll make sure that when I get home I file for divorce, I can no longer be able to live another day lying to myself, only convincing myself that I love when I do not.
But for this whole weekend I will enjoy myself, with Sbonga at the far back of my mind.
