Marco
I stood at a safe distance, watching as Sindie kissed Shawn passionately before she drove off with the kids. Anger surged through me, fueled by the memories of Ndumiso’s death and the injustices I had suffered.
It had been two long years since that fateful day, and during that time, I meticulously planned my revenge. I had finally formed a perfect plan to bring them down, just as they had torn my life apart.
They had taken everything from me. After Ndumiso’s death, I lost it all. My home, the man I idolized, and even a sense of my own identity slipped away amidst the chaos. Revenge was all that remained, the only purpose driving me forward.
I glanced at the pistol resting on the passenger seat, a chilling reminder of the path I had chosen. The time had come for me to use it, to make them pay for their sins.
As I followed their car, maintaining a safe distance, the traffic light turned red, presenting the perfect opportunity. My gaze fixed on Sindie, completely oblivious to the imminent danger that awaited her and the child in the backseat. Lowering my window, I aimed the pistol at the backseat where Lloyd sat, and without hesitation, I fired two shots before speeding away.
An eye for an eye.
“I have avenged you, grootman,” I whispered to the unknown, a mixture of satisfaction and emptiness filling my soul.
I have avenged Ndumiso just like I have promised.
