After-school, MaZet was waiting for me outside my class, with Mathabo.

“We will walk her to the taxis, then we go home, right?” She told me.

I smiled and nodded. That’s why I loved MaZet, she understood me. She saw I was interested in Mathabo, and now, she brought her to me.

“Oops! There’s Thabiso. Let me talk to my man. Wait for me guys.” She rushed away, walking to her tall and skinny boyfriend, who looked too old for the school uniform.

“So, tell me, what grade are you in?” I asked her.

“Eight. I see you in grade 10.” She nodded.

“Wait! You’re 13?”

“14.” She laughed.

“I almost collapsed. I’m 15. Angi batle uk’rape.a [i dont want to date a minor.” I told her, attempting seSotho.

She laughed at my failed attempt. “It’s ha ke batle ho rape. [I don’t want to date a minor.]” She corrected me.

I laughed too, and hung my bag over my shoulder.

“So what do you mean, you don’t want to date a minor?” She asked.

“I mean, I have been stalking you since yesterday when I saw you by the assembly. You knowing MaZet came as a bonus.” I confessed.

“Can I confess, too?” She asked.

“As long as you won’t say you’re a serial killer.” I laughed.

“I’ve also been looking at you. Although, longer than you have been looking at me. The first day I came to this school, I saw you, when you were handing out newsletters about uniforms to my class.” She blushed and covered her face.

“That long, huh?” I acted shocked

“Creepy, I know” She shrugged

“Not creepy, but cute.” I took her hand and gently kissed it.

“Let’s go guys.” MaZet came back from her smooching session with her boyfriend. “Uyashesha wena! Senicabuzana izandla. [You’re fast! You’re even kissing her hand.]” MaZet laughed.

“Mxm.” I laughed and we walked to the taxis, I opened the door and she got in, and I closed it.

“Thatha wena, sis gentleman. Don’t hurt the poor child. [ you go girl!]” MaZet laughed as I closed the door.

“You hurt me too much.

“Did you get her numbers?” She asked.

“Whats my name?” I laughed
