I and Mom went to the Principal’s office when we arrived at my school. ” Greetings Mr Smith” mom greets the Principal politely as we sat down In the chairs. ” Greetings ma’am,how can I help you” he replied.

Mom explained everything to the principal. Mr Smith saw my swollen hand. So he called Mr Dlamini to his office. He knocked and opened the door. I and Mom turned back to when he made an entrance.

Mom was in a great astonishment when her eyes bumped into Mr Dlamini’s. Both of them stared at each other for a moment as if they knew each other.

” Even if they say people look alike but I swear this is Bayanda, Bayanda Dlamini. What is destiny doing to me.” Mom said to herself.

” Wait is this Zanele Masuku, no this can’t happen” Mr Dlamini said to himself widening his eyes in shock.

” This is the girl’s mother. The one which you treated unfairly. How can you be so irresponsible Mr Dlamini?” Principal glared at Mr Dlamini furiously. I saw mom crying when she looked at Mr Dlamini.

Mr Smith, Mr Dlamini and my mon discussed this issue. Mr Dlamini was given a warning and I was allowed to come back to school after 5 days till my hand get Better. Things were still awkward between mom and Mr Dlamini.

The case was closed and we walked back home. Mom was quiet all the was going back home. I saw it in her eyes that she was in a lot of pain but I will ask her tomorrow.

Mom’s POV

I never thought that this day would come. The man who left me 14 years ago when I was pregnant with Hope. I remember that I was sixteen years old. We were very young. Bayanda was the love of my life,he loved me a lot and we made a vow that we’ll be together forever but Hope came into our lives shattered my dreams.

I dreamt of living a luxurious life with Bayanda but the day I told him that I’m pregnant he distanced himself from me. He told me that he had his own dreams and he was not ready to be a father. I had to leave school and raise Hope.

My family turned their backs on me. Till today I don’t know if my parents are still alive. I have many questions in my eyes. No Wonder why Bayanda treated Hope so bad. How can I tell Hope about his father. She’s been patiently waiting for him for years. My daughter had always yearned for his father’s love.
