“Seconds, minutes, hours, the time is testing my patience,” Cleo counted, sitting devastated inside the car of his father. “This must be the worse experience I’ve ever had, to wait million seconds just to see my crush?! Oh no! Time is jealous. Dad!” he shouted and got out of the car. He threw himself to his mother, she was busy removing packed tiles from their garage.
Frightened, she responded, “Cleo! Your father is out for a jog. I thought you went with him.”
“Ah mama! I was inside the car. Can you please borrow me your phone? I ran out of data.”
“Assist me to remove this tiles to the store room first, this place needs to be tidy.”
“I can do that with dad on weekend, please mommy,” he bit his lip.
Rolling her eyes, she replied, “You missed the boat son. You’ve been singing this song with your dad since last month. I’m not in the mood of arguing with you now.”
Cleo hurried to assist his mother. “Don’t forget to borrow me your phone,” he said, impatience.
“When we’re done.”

At MaVilakazi’s house. Hazel’s jaws were kept busy by her wide smile. Her eyes fell on a handsome guy. Who wouldn’t want a guy like Cleo? It was obvious he had anything any girl would die for.
“This time,” she looked herself on a mirror. “You’re taking a chance baby girl.”
MaVilakazi barged in.
“Hopefully, a chance to believe in yourself.”
She settled down on her old brown bed. “What if it’s a chance to allow myself to have a companion?”
MaVilakazi’s eyes widened.
“Yes granny, it’s now my time to have a boyfriend.”
Flabbergasted, she asked, “Are you insane?”
“No. I’m falling in love with a new learner in my school. Granny he’s clean, humble, he looks kind, he…he…granny he…” Tears completed her conversation.
“Oh shame!” she nodded. “Let me tell you,” and sat next to her. “Boys will play you like a ball, then dump you like a trash when they’re done, don’t allow looks to deceive you, please my granddaughter.”
She held maVilakazi’s rough hands and looked straight in her eyes. “You should see him, he’s an angel in it white clothing. Give me a chance to fall in love on this early age, I’ll prove to you that love is not always as bad as you say,” she wiped oceans on her eyes. “I know he loves me. I can feel it. Him and I are going very far.”
Hazel’s phone vibrated.
Unknown number: Hey beautiful, its Cleo. I hope I made your day. I have a strong feeling that you and I are made for each other. You’re the girl of my dreams, and I want to fulfil them with you. I can’t wait to see you soon! Love and kisses!”
Hazel: I feel the same way and I believe Karma planned this day. Goodnight.
She placed her phone under a pillow.
“It’s a massage from Cleo’” she looked at maVilakazi, again. “I beg for a chance grandma.”
“I’ll have to meet him and see what kind of a guy he is. I don’t want anything that will tear my granddaughter apart.”
“You mean the world to me granny.”
They hugged and MaVilakazi left to her room.
