I can’t help but to feel trapped in this marriage! Kefiloe’s mom thought as she prepared supper for her husband and daughter, she was a housewife though she is a qualified teacher. Nothing she does seems to be good enough in the eyes of her husband of 10 years.

If only her high school sweetheart hadn’t betrayed her and dropped her off like a hot potato leaving her to deal with the consequences of their recklessness alone, maybe she could be married to him and live a happy life together with their daughter as a family. She met Kabelo Mmusi 12 years ago when she was still a university student, she had vowed to finish her degree in record time and build a bright future for her and her daughter after her bad experience with her ex whom left her pregnant the moment he got an offer to study abroad.

She stayed behind to pick up the pieces of her life alone but with her parent’s support, a year later after giving birth she got accepted at UJ to study teaching majoring in maths and science. Everything went well until one day she went clubbing with her friends to celebrate their excellent end of year results she then met him, he was so perfect only four years older than her and already working a high paying job. He was a CFO in one of the big mining companies SIBANYE GOLD. They dated only for a year and got married he didn’t want her to work. “A man is a provider” his words.

She regrets her decision till date he was a perfect husband in the face of the people but a monster in his own home, nothing she ever did was perfect for him she suffered in the hands of the man who claimed to love her. She lost three pregnancies because of him she even lost hope of trying again.

She prepared a light meal for supper since he had tendencies of missing meals perhaps he started cheating, she prepared cheesy macaroni with steak and greek salad then retreated to the bathroom to take a long bubbly bath to relax.

Tell us: Many people changes after marriage, what can be the cause of these?
