Two weeks pass, and Lusanda and I have gotten closer. Today is the day I take her out for movies. The school matron finally let her out today, it’s a Friday.

The night is warm, and the sky is filled with stars. I park my car, and lean against it, tapping my foot impatiently on the school pavement. It’s 6 o’clock. Lusanda has to be back to her dorm by 11.

I am wearing a denim jean, a white golf tshirt and a denim jacket thrown ontop. When I raise my head, Lusanda is walking towards me. She smiles.

She’s wearing a light denim, white tshirt and a black jacket thrown ontop, unzipped.

“Evening, malady.” I kiss her hand.

“Hey.” She whispers.

Her eyes are glued onto me. I’ve borrowed my mom’s car. I left mine at home. The car is a blue BMW.

“Nice car.”

“Thanks. Hop in.” I open the door for her.

“Thank you, sir.” She giggles and hops in

“We will do movies and food. Then I’ll bring you back here.” I tell her.

“I’m down for whatever. Even if you took me to have cow’s head, at a township. I’d ge ecstatic.” She jokes

“Oh really, now?” I laugh

“Soweto is my home.”

“And I’ve never been there. And I wouldn’t want to risk my life.”

“Its not as bad as people make it out to be. But, I also wouldn’t want you to drive there at night.” She smiles.
