Alex and Busi were on the bed, wrapped in each other’s arms. They were kissing passionately, their bodies entwined. Sindi’s eyes widened in shock and horror as she took in the scene. For a moment, she just stood there, frozen in shock. Then, her anger and hurt kicked in. She felt like she had been punched in the gut.

Sindi: Alex! (exclaimed, her voice shaking with rage) What is going on here?

Alex and Busi quickly sprang apart, looking guilty and ashamed. They both tried to speak at the same time, but Sindi cut them off.

Sindi: Don’t bother explaining! (spat) l can see exactly what’s going on here. You’re cheating on me, Alex. With my friend, of all people.

Busi looked like she was about to cry, but Alex just looked defiant.

Busi: Sindi, please listen…he started.

Alex: Sindi, I…I can explain…

Busi: Sindi, I’m so sorry…I never meant to hurt you…

Sindi: Sorry? Sorry isn’t enough. You’re my friend, Busi. My supposed best friend. And you’re cheating with my boyfriend behind my back.

Alex: Sindi, please listen…it just happened, okay? It didn’t mean anything…

Sindi: Didn’t mean anything? Are you kidding me? You’re on my bed, with my friend, and it didn’t mean anything?

Busi: Sindi, please forgive me…I was weak, and I made a mistake…

Sindi: Forgive you? You want me to forgive you? After what you’ve done? No, I won’t forgive you. And I won’t forgive you either, Alex. You’ve broken my trust, and you’ve broken our relationship. It’s over.

Alex: Sindi, don’t say that…please, let’s talk about this…

Sindi: Get out. Both of you. Get out of my house, and don’t come back.

Busi: Sindi, I’m so sorry…please, don’t hate me…

Sindi: I don’t hate you, Busi. I’m just disappointed. And I’m angry. But most of all, I’m hurt. You’ve hurt me, and I don’t know if I can ever forgive you for that.

Alex: Sindi, please…

Sindi: No, Alex. Just get out. Get out of my life.

Alex and Busi quickly scrambled off the bed and started gathering their things. Sindi watched them, feeling a mix of emotions: anger, hurt, betrayal.

As they left the house, Sindi slammed the door behind them. She leaned against it, feeling like her world had been turned upside down.
