What is love?

Where do you find it?

What do you need to qualify for it?

I’ve been longing and searching for a true love

I couldn’t find it

But I’m still searching for it

How does it feel?

How does it feel to know that you have found the one?

“There is someone special for all of us” they say

But why can’t I find “my special someone?”

Is she playing hard to get?

Is she embarrassed to be seen with someone like me?

Am I too down to earth for her?

Am I not “hot” or “cool” or “handsome” enough for her?

Should I change who I am so that she can notice me?

Cause I’ve been traveling from the Northern Cape to the Western Cape in search for “my special someone”

I’ve even traveled to different countries

Without any luck

I’m longing for a true and pure love

A love where we can be just ourselves

A love where we’ll accept each other just the way we are

A love full of happiness and peace

Someone tell me what do I need to find that?

What do I need to qualify for that type of love?

Do I need to change?

But maybe I should just stop searching for “my special someone”

Maybe that type of love wasn’t meant for someone like me
