poem
The Searcher
Behind me is where I always find you,
With a face that had been studying me for ages.
We were so many in our grey and white uniforms,
Pens, books, and secret ambitions were always with us.
I searched for my purpose hopelessly,
And you searched for me.
Rains came with suns, weeks, seasons, and decades.
With so many planned events and many unplanned events.
Somewhere in time, life gave me a chance to choose.
Somewhere in time, life reminded me of my place.
I built with conviction until things became meaningless.
I fell in love and learned the sweet part of a broken heart.
I grew tired of home and again longed to be home.
But behind me is where I always find you,
With a face that is going to study me for ages.
We are so many with colorful shirts, denims, and Allstars.
Cigarettes, beer bottles, and secret ambitions are with us.
I search for my purpose, hopefully,
And you still search for me.
