The song remains the same, we all are dreaming,

Visions of futures, in minds they’re streaming.

Intoxicated by desires aflame,

Yet sobered by reality, oh, what a shame.

Like a racist cop on a black man’s trail,

We chase love, but our hearts often fail.

We chase money, yet feel empty inside,

We chase fame, our true selves we hide.

Recognition, we yearn for its light,

But once found, it’s destroyed in the night.

Humanity lost, heart and soul gone,

Let’s go to God and right our wrongs.

For in His presence, we find what we’ve lost,

To heal our souls, we must pay the cost.
