The internet defines poverty as

The state of being extremely poor

Notice the word “extremely”!

It means not just too much but way too much.

More than very much

And too much of everything is very bad.

Although in this case it’s the worst

The other definition the internet provides,

Is that poverty is,

The state of being inferior in quality

Or insufficient in amount

This means that poverty goes along.

The lines of inferiority

Along the lines of not important

Or insignificant

Like you don’t matter

“Extremely”

The word extreme means way more than what can be tolerated.

When someone is in pain

They are in pain yes.

But when someone is in extreme pain

It means they are in PAIN.

Painful than what is known as painful.

Poverty is extremely poor.

This means more than poor.

Poor cannot be tolerated itself.

Now poverty is more than that It is the worst of what cannot be tolerated.

Poverty is the tears, the blood and the sweat.

Now this happens on a daily basis.

The bleeding, the sweating and the crying

Thousands, no millions of people scrapping.

The dustbins for food

The homeless seeking warmth and comfort under boxes and papers

In heavy rains and in extremely cold winters

Wearing torn clothes that barely provide any warmth.

Or protection

Poverty is everyone working hard.

So very hard

Listen when I mean hard,

I mean super hard.

To get nothing more than what buys half loaf of a bread.

Poverty is people sitting on the sides of the road with empty tins begging for money.

While they cry inside

Stressing about whether they will make enough cents,

To have at least a meal for the day

While they realize there isn’t much to their pride because poverty has forcefully stripped it off them

Poverty is when people look in the eyes of their hunger-stricken children,

In despair realizing there is nothing they can do

Poverty doesn’t just tear the pocket,

But it tears the soul and the heart.

This is a state you doubt a lot of things.

This is a state where you wish for a lot of things.

Food, suicide, shelter, and life

Poverty destroys the mind first before it destroys the body.

Shattering every little bit of hope

That might still be in there.

Poverty is pain,

It’s like you are breathing,

And nothing more just the breathing and the heart beating

Poverty is the persistent struggle of living.

The struggle of waking up to nothing but pain

The constant inability to have a peace of mind.

I am certain the devil stares POVERTY in fear too.
