There is nothing in the dark

Only stumble and trouble

Stagnant with no direction

And no sparkle or sprinklers

There is nothing in the dark

It is such a sad place to be

My eyes consumed by nothingness

My mind irritated by untraceable sounds

As my heart beat bitter bitterness

I cannot find my breath

I’m overwhelmed by fear

There is nothing in the dark

My eyes are open but I cannot see

I hear voices but I am terrified to walk, where there is no surface

I am terrified to follow a voice, a direction I cannot trace

There is nothing in the dark but sorrow and death

I pray for light

For light is good
