He was a man of the law; a policeman.
Loved and respected.
His uniform; a badge of honour
Which he wore with pride.
With a walk that signified so.
He pledged to fight and eradicate crime,
Fighting day and night.
That was his mission. That was what he lived for.
That was until,
the mother of a girl, aged sixteen
came to report a pregnancy.
“Your husband is responsible.”
The wife, hands on her head, in total disbelief.
That night ,a police van came to fetch him,
his head bowed in shame and humiliation.
A disgrace to the force.
