I weep for the land of my forefathers,

To the heinous war crimes attributed to child soldiers.

I weep at the dishonesty of political leaders,

To the everyday slaughtering of my mothers and sisters.

For millions of children with nothing to eat,

To the oppression of black people without retribution, I weep.

For the innocent lives the devil steals,

To the inhumanity of human beings, I weep.
