Home, how I miss home

In the heart of nature, where wild things play,

I left a piece of my soul, in a special way.

The cattle’s gentle bells, a symphony so sweet,

Echoes of memories, my heart skips a beat.

Tears from smoke, a savory treat,

Cooking over fire, a tradition to greet.

The aroma of woodsmoke, wafts through the air,

Transporting me back, to a place beyond compare.

Neighbors’ warm greetings, a daily delight,

‘Good morning, how did you rest?’ A gentle, loving light.

Their smiles, a ray of sunshine, brightening up the day,

A sense of community, that never fades away.

Children’s laughter, bare feet dancing free,

A carefree joy, wild and full of glee.

Their innocent eyes, sparkling with delight,

A treasure to behold, a precious, pure light.

Chickens, oh chickens, with feathers so bright,

Scratching, pecking, a lively, rustic sight.

Their soft clucking, a soothing serenade,

A symphony of simplicity, in a busy world’s shade.

The blazing sun, a fiery ball of gold,

Warming the earth, young and old.

Its rays, a gentle caress, on skin so dark and bright,

A sense of vitality, that ignites the night.

Home, how I miss home,

A place where love and laughter roam.

Where simplicity and peace entwine,

A sense of belonging, forever divine.

In dreams, I see the hills, the valleys green and wide,

The river’s gentle flow, where fish swim side by side.

The stars at night, a twinkling show,

A celestial showcase, in a world below.

Oh, home, how I miss you,

A place where memories, forever shine true.

Though distance takes me far,

In heart, I’ll always be, where love and joy are .
