Punching bag into a coffin
heart aches when I think of you
emotions are mauled to muted
voice is volumeless
Went from a lover to static of gender-based violence
Left your lifeless cold body out there in the cold
For scavengers to fend off you
My dearest friend
It is with anger that I bleed out to mere paper
Your ears are now covered with dirt
Your chest is burdened by ice and death
I speak or rather write from a caged disheartened person
They victimised your equal right to life
Them predators deserves death penalty
They robbed a nation
They deprived a community a born free of leader
Had the nerve to show up at your funeral
To offer their condolences
The day they buried you
I died
