Once upon a time.

Being black was a blessing.

The blacks were blessed with land and cattle.

They never went hungry or thirsty.

They had plenty of maize from their cultivated land.

They had plenty of milk from their cows.

They had plenty of meat from their cattle.

They drank water from the forever flowing rivers.

Once upon a time.

With a blink of an eye.

Being black became a curse.

The blacks became landless and poverty-striken

Their souls became thirsty for change.
