Remember an old woman’ a friend of mine?
Those were the innocent times of my younger self
Age continuously is giving into moving on
With the speeding time of today, it accelerates
Leaving traits of pieces and bits in memory lane.
Now that eyesight has given into insight
I once again find myself acknowledging:

An older woman, a friendliest friend of mine too.
This fiery wild “Cougar” has a knack for a snack
With a fierce heart to go for what it wants
Putting all her eggs in one basket, a move
Love, pleasure and desire surpass the risk
Like a furry feline patiently preying she prays.
Time next to healing was always a tamer
This beautiful creature behind the mascara
Harbours love and pain, so do vulnerability
Care, gentleness and tenderness are profound.
For me so-called Toy Boy I’m all in invited
Showing up for a friend in times of need
What could more gestures genuineness of:
“A friend in need is a friend indeed”
For an older woman, a friend of mine too.
