Like every infant

Even I was born with my palm closed

As I carried my dreams to the world

Yes, my eyes were closed, and I was crying in confusing

But my vision got sharper as soon as I opened my eyes

And understood my mission to the world.

I came here to Conquer

I made plans of my own

I started dreaming, and everyone else believed in me.

Sooner I was their hope for a turnaround

The chosen one to carry their failed Missions further

They told me their aborted dreams lived in me.

It doesn’t matter how many generations tried and failed

Even inside me burns the passion to do better,

For when I was born, I brought smiles of hope to their faces;

They said, “They were born our dreams again”.

The same aborted dreams, like unfinished business.

The mission must be carried out.

Now, I pray for strength.

For I don’t want history to repeat itself

They named me Hope, for their Hope resides in me

I walk with my face faced up high;

I am not hoping for less,

And I don’t want to trip and fall into the same trap.

THE ABORTED DREAMS of my forefathers, together with mine,

I shall give birth.

It isn’t easy; the shoe seems too big for me,

Even the path is filled with thorns,

Many tried it on and left it not even halfway

But I will take it from here,

And I Vow to be the one to lead the way to the Promised Land.

THE ABORTED DREAMS shall not remain ABORTED.

I shall bring them to life.
