Suddenly it happened

And still I stood

For I couldn’t react

Astounded by the blare

Of my careful heart

And the oncoming heat

From her direction

Musing about that day

It’s music to my soul

Like a train smash

She crashed my heart

And rolled it lovingly

To be even with hers
