“Life is a marathon,
not a sprint,” she quoted.
But to me it was a race
in thorns and knifes
among the blind and deaf, the women and men.
To me? It took more than just a leap of faith
it took my courage, confidence; my soul
drowning in my own tears
chained to your projected fears
yet nowhere still
no existence
If “a leap of faith”
is the seed
and it still doesn’t grow,
where did I go wrong?
how did I get lost?
Torn in two
Death spikes
Soldiers are falling
Refusing the war
ending their battles
so please don’t hit me with
have “a leap of faith”.
