Mkhuku Mkhize: C..call Relebohile. (Struggling to talk.)

Rethabile stands up, she is crying as she knows what she is about to discover.

Rethabile: (Shaking Relebohile.) Wake up Lebo.

Relebohile: Why are you crying Rethabile? (Rubbing his eyes.)

Rethabile: Come. (Taking his hand.)

They proceeded to Mkhulu Mkhize’s room, he was still coughing.

Rethabile: Mkhulu here he is. (Holding Relebohile.)

Mkhulu Mkhize: My children don’t cry it will all be over soon.

Rethabile: Mkhulu don’t go.(Crying.)

Mkhulu Mkhize: I will always visit you in your dreams if you ever afraid think of me. I love you okay and Rethabile is here to take care of you be a good boy and listen to your sister okay.

Relebohile nods his head.

Rethabile: Mkhulu don’t go you can’t go! (Screaming.)

Mkhulu Mkhize: I am not going angel I will always be in your heart forever. I….. lo..love you. (Struggling to talk.)

The two children lay beside their grandfather. Mkhulu Mkhize sings them a song they both love. Although he struggles to sing they both hear the song. They dozed off.

(In the morning.)

Asemahle is still running to Rethabile’s home. She reaches the house as she gets closer she sees people going into the house.

Asemahle: Rethabile! (Shouting.)

Relebohile appears crying. Asemahle holds him.

Asemahle: What is it boy? (Trembling.)

Relebohile: It’s Mkhulu.

Asemahle already knew, she went into Rethabile’s room to comfort her.

Asemahle: Shhh. (Cradling her.)

Rethabile kept on crying, screaming and kicking. At last she calmed down. Two people came in the room. One was a very stylish lady and the other was a teeange boy probably the same age as Rethabile.

Thembi: Greetings.

Rethabile and Asemahle: Hi. (Looking at her suspiciously.)

Thembi: Rethabile my girl how are you? (Coming closer.)

Rethabile: Who are you and what do you want? (Checking her from top to bottom.)

Thembi: That shall be revealed later on. (Going out of the room and the teenage boy following like a lost puppy.)

The two girls suspiciously look at the lady as she walks off.

The day of the funeral approaches and at that time Rethabile and Relebohile were staying over at Asemahle’s house. The lady kept coming checking on the two siblings. She arranged the funeral and some of Rethabile’s relatives showed up at the funeral and some whom Rethabile did not know. There came a time when they had to discuss the will. Rethabile did not even know his grandfather had a will. The lawyer called Rethabile, Relebohile and some of the members, the lady also came.

Lawyer: The will is as follows:

“Rethabile and Relebohile my children there will come a time where some secrets will be revealed but promise me you will remain strong. Adelina: Never! 2 million and the only thing he leaves for me is this old house! He should have given me money so I can renovate this ugly house. (Standing up.)

Rethabile: Just shut up where were you when umkhulu was sick you only show up now and you demand his money!

Adelina: Dont disrespect me young lady!

Lawyer: Ma’am please calm down. (He continues.)

Adelina: This lawyer is fake don’t listen to him, he is a scam!

Rebecca: Yeah reveal who you are.

Family please don’t fight reunite once again and Rethabile and Relebohile please promise me you will always be together and be strong because right now you will never live your life in pain ever again. I love you all. Robert Mkhize.”

Rebecca: An armchair seriously. (Disappointed and angry.) My own brother left me this old armchair.
