Two weeks later…

In the middle of an empty house, Maria sits bound to a chair; her mouth is gagged with a cloth that muffles any sound that she tries to make and she’s blindfolded. Randy, Mrs. Khoza and her son, Kwanda are standing right in front of her.

RANDY (to Maria): Today I have a surprise for you. You have prominent visitors.

Randy removes the piece of cloth covering Maria’s eyes. Mrs. Khoza smiles at her.

Mrs. KHOZA: We meet again daddy’s angel. (She removes the gag inside Maria’s mouth.)

MARIA (squirming in discomfort): You witch! What do you want from me?!

Mrs. KHOZA: Oh, baby girl. You don’t have to shout when speaking – I’m right in front of you.

MARIA (her chest heaving with anger and fear): Let me go! I owe you nothing!

Mrs. KHOZA: Uh-uh. You know too much. I can’t let you go.

MARIA: No! Please don’t kill me. I… I won’t say anything. Please!

Mrs. KHOZA: You were an apple of your father’s eyes. Shame, look at you now; wrinkled, discolored and rotten, but don’t worry we have a new apple in the house…

MARIA: What?

Mrs. KHOZA: (looking at her son) His name is Kwanda… He is here to replace you.

MARIA: Well, sorry to burst your bubble but I’m irreplaceable.

Mrs. Khoza unleashes annoying evil laughter

MARIA: Laugh while you still can because your days are numbered. You are going to pay for this. All of you!

Kwanda is shaken by Maria words, but he maintains a façade of composure and indifference.

Mrs. KHOZA: Oh, naïve little thing. (turning to Randy) She believes she’ll come out of here alive.

Mrs. Khoza pulls out a body bag and show it to Maria.

Maria is visibly terrified.

Mrs. KHOZA: You see this thing? It is designed to contain things like you!

(more evil laughter)
