We tend to look at our friends, family and other people’s lives. And thinking if it was me I would have done it differently. And we are so quick to give advice, on how things should be done. On how people have to live. On how one can change their circumstances. But when it comes to our own lives we suddenly take time out. Go into a pity party and expect others to join in. Truth is, some will have empathy, and others will simply have pity to please you. Others will gossip or just ignore you. But no one will steer you in the direction you desire. Stop! Watch others and start with yourself.
You need to change your mindset before you can willingly follow your process. You have to consider that you need do things for yourself. If you are unemployed think of products you can sell while submitting your Curriculum Vitae for vacant positions. Keep yourself occupied with motivation. Remember the Rock films. Sylvester Stallone had played the role of a young man who could not read and who was poor. But he became a successful fighter. There is always a talent, gift or resource we can use to change our situation. Rocky’s talent was fighting and he had used what was already in his hand. And he had perseverance. It is what you need to achieve your goals.
Taking charge of your life will require you to be willing to take on every opportunity. By being willing to take on low-income jobs. To afford the resources for your goal. Resources can be people, try to engage with people. For someone can have what you need or do what you can’t do.
When I left my parent’s residence at age of twenty-five, it was not easy. I had to buy everything a household needs. It took months to adjust. With every decision comes responsibility. I had to change my decision. When you decide to take charge of your life, you will be required to take responsibility to become the best version of yourself. Whether you will become a successful entrepreneur or find a job. You need to be willing to work hard. Your willingness will change your finances, health and life. After you took charge of your life. You are able to work on the lives of your children. And encourage other family members and friends. It’s hard work to take charge of your life and yet relatively easy when you take a close look at what is in your hand.
